Ayegba officially transferred to Nebraska on Thursday, Omaha.com reports.

The 6-foot-9 center was set to complete his degree at Georgetown in May, so he'll be eligible immediately for Nebraska in 2014-15 as a graduate student. Much of his value lies on the defensive end as a rim protector, as he totaled 23 blocked shots in 31 games for the Hoyas last season.

Ayegba was suspended by the NCAA for Monday's game against Villanova for "pre-enrollment reconciliation," ESPN.com reports.

Ayegba had seen a bump in minutes since the suspension of Josh Smith and Jabril Trawick's broken jaw, including 30 minutes in the Jan. 20 overtime loss to Marquette. The 6-9 senior should be back on the court for Saturday's game against Michigan State.
