Kaminski has announced he will be transferring to Ohio and will seek eligibility to play this year, The Athens Messenger reports.

Kaminski's transfer will help to boost a Bearcats squad that is looking to make a return appearance to the NCAA Tournament this season. He appeared in 31 games last season after filling in for Adreian Payne while he was injured. Kaminski was a standout for the Spartans amongst some of their other high profile players, so a chance to likely start at Ohio can certainly make him an asset.

Kaminski will be transferring from Michigan State, but has yet to decide where he'll go.

Kaminski came on strong during his RS freshman year when former teammate Adreian Payne was sidelined with a foot injury. The former Spartan appeared in 31 games last season and will likely provide a big boost to whatever program he decides to attend.

Kaminski scored 19 points in the Spartans' win over Penn State Thursday.

He wasn't able to add much else, just two rebounds, but the freshman has double-digit scoring efforts in two straight games and has seen a steady rise in his minutes since Adreian Payne went down with a foot injury. Payne's return may cut into Kaminski's minutes once again.
