Taylor's fractured wrist will not require surgery, but Texas does not have a timetable for his return.

Taylor had an original timetable for return of 4-6 weeks. However, the most recent news out of Austin is that his injury is not season ending, although there's no specific target date for a return. Javan Felix will likely see an increase in time on the court while Taylor continues to be sidelined.

Jordan Mickey is an explosive player and has a chance to put up some gaudy numbers in the frontcourt for LSU this season.

Taylor has a fractured wrist and will miss four-to-six weeks, ESPN.com's Jeff Goodman reports.

The sophomore point guard sustained the injury in Thursday's victory over Iowa, missing the ultimate game of the 2K Classic against California as a result. Texas will now have to get by without their floor general, who averaged 12.7 points and four assists last season, likely until the after the New Year. Javan Felix replaced Taylor in the starting lineup Friday and will presumably continue to man the point for the Longhorns until Taylor is cleared to return.

Taylor (wrist) is expected to be sidelined for several weeks, Jeff Goodman of ESPN reports.

The exact severity of Taylor's wrist injury is still unknown, although it's severe enough to be sidelined indefinitely. With that in mind, Javan Felix will likely receive an uptick in minutes throughout the course of non-conference play.

Taylor (wrist) will not play Friday against Cal, Eric Prisbell of USA Today reports.

Taylor suffered the injury late in the game Thursday night against Iowa when he hit the ground hard after taking a flagrant foul. He came out of the game and had ice on his non-shooting wrist for the remainder of the game. Taylor will get evaluated when the team returns to Texas, with his next chance to return November 25.

Taylor scored 15 points (5-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-7 FT) with two rebounds and one steal Wednesday.

Taylor, a preseason Wooden Award watch player, is one of Texas' top returning players and should be among the team's top scorers and play makers throughout the season. Last season, Taylor was relied on often to spark Texas' offense, which had previously been poor. Now a sophomore, Taylor has likely improved offensively, but may not improve on his 12.7 points per game from last season too much due to the plethora of talent Texas now has.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Taylor, a promising freshman guard, had possibly his best statistical game of the season Tuesday. He scored 26 points (8-20 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 10-10 FT) along with seven rebounds and eight assists.

The freshman also notched his highest minutes total of the season (37) in a tough loss at Iowa State. Despite his youth, Taylor is leading his team in both points and assists per game. He will be a key component if his Longhorns want to make some noise come March.
