Williams (foot) returned to the starting lineup Saturday and chipped in 10 points and six rebounds over 31 minutes against San Diego State.

After a stress fracture in his foot sidelined him for the entirety of February, Williams got back in the fold in time for the regular season finale Saturday. Perhaps most impressively, Williams was able to log 31 minutes after such a long layoff. Williams figures to be ready to make another start Thursday against Fresno State. In his last outing against the Bulldogs, Williams had a strong all-around outing with 18 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams (foot) is expected to play Saturday against San Diego State, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

A stress fracture has kept Williams sidelined since late-January, but the expectation is that he'll return to action Saturday, roughly a week after being cleared to participate in basketball activities. Prior to the injury, the senior was enjoying a stellar season, averaging 17.9 points and 7.0 rebounds while shooting nearly 58 percent from the field.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams (foot) has been cleared to participate in basketball-related activities, Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports reports.

Williams has been dealing with a stress fracture since mid-January, but it looks as if the star big man is close to making a return to the floor. Rothstein reports that the team still doesn't know when he'll be able to return to practice, so he should still be considered on a day-by-day basis until a further update is given. But with just one game left in the regular season before the conference tournament, Williams is running out of time.

Williams (foot) will remain in a walking boot until he is reevaluated during the last week of February, Geoff Grammer of the Albuquerque Journal reports.

The Lobos' star big man has been on the mend after suffering a stress reaction in late January. He underwent another round of X-rays Thursday, and the doctors determined that he'll need at least two more weeks in a walking boot before there is any change to his status. As a result, Williams' chances at returning during the regular season appear to be slim. That said, he could be back in time for the conference tournament pending the results of his next follow-up.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams (foot) is set to undergo an X-ray on Thursday, Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports reports.

The senior forward suffered a stress reaction in late January that has kept him sidelined for each of the last four games. There is still no timetable for his return, according to coach Craig Neal. That said, Thursday's X-rays ought to shed some light on when Williams can realistically be expected to return. Sam Logwood will likely continue to see heavy minutes at the small forward spot for as long as Williams is sidelined.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams (foot) is expected to remain sidelined for three more weeks, Geoff Grammer of the Albuquerque Journal reports.

Williams is dealing with a stress reaction in his foot and was fully expected to miss an extended period of time. A three-week timetable would put a return at the start of March, so it appears Williams will miss the rest of the regular season schedule. That said, this most recent timeline isn't a guarantee either, so there's still a chance the Lobos end up holding Williams out of action the rest of the season. Williams is in his senior campaign with New Mexico, so this could mark the end of his collegiate career.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Coach Craig Neal said Tuesday that Williams will miss "a substantial amount of time" due to a stress reaction in his foot.

This is a major blow for the Lobos as Williams had started every game in which he played this season. He is the team leader in minutes (33.8 MPG) and his 17.9 points per game rank him second on the team behind Elijah Brown. The timing of his injury is particularly unfortunate given that there's roughly one month left in the regular season, which puts him at risk of missing most of the Lobos' remaining games. Joe Furstinger and Sam Longwood could be in line for increased roles while Williams is out.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Williams scored 30 points on 13-of-18 from the field with seven rebounds in the loss to Utah State on Wednesday.

Williams fell one point short of his season high. He has scored in double digits in every game that he has played except one. The 6-8 senior is leading the Lobos with 18.5 points and 7.0 rebounds.
