Will transfer to UCONN
Onuorah will transfer from Cornell to the University of Connecticut for his senior season, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Onuorah took part in just one game last season, so he was granted an extra year of eligibility after spending the previous three years at Cornell as well. During the 2015-16 campaign, which was his last full season played, Onuorah averaged 5.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks across 25.5 minutes. He'll provide some depth in Connecticut's frontcourt, adding an additional shot blocker and a guy who excels on the boards. That said, with the step up in competition, his expected role with the Huskies is unclear at this point. He'll be able to play immediately as a graduate transfer.
