July 8, 2017
Omielanczuk was defeated by Curtis Blaydes via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-20, 27-30) at UFC 213 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was a very slow fight. Omielanczuk showed great takedown defense, successfully defending all 14 of Blaydes attempts. However, Omielanczuk was not able to take advantage of the takedowns when he wasn't held up against the fence. There really wasn't a lot of action in this fight, and the crowd was booing at the end.

ANALYSIS
At 34 years old, Omielanczuk enters the heavyweight bout sporting a 19-7 record. The Polish fighter will look to get back on track after dropping his last two fights. Can't escape the clinch against Tim Johnson
HeavyweightUFC
March 18, 2017
Omielanczuk lost to Tim Johnson via split decision (29-28, 30-27, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in London
ANALYSIS
Omielanczuk wanted to stay on the outside and land with rangy strikes. Early in the fight, it looked like he was going to be able to ride this strategy to a victory. However, as he began to get tired, Johnson was able to close the distance. From there, the former NCAA Division II wrestler was able to hold the fight against the cage and sway the judges. Omielanczuk has now lost back-to-back fights his record has fallen to 19-7-1.
To face Johnson in London
HeavyweightUFC
January 19, 2017
Omielanczuk will take on Tim Johnson in a heavyweight matchup at UFC London on March 18.
ANALYSIS
Omielanczuk, 34, has been with the UFC since 2013. He recently had a three-fight winning streak snapped by seven-footer Stefan Struve, but will look to get back on track against the recently-ranked, No. 14 heavyweight Tim Johnson. The two do have one common opponent in the UFC in Jared Rosholt, who handed both men losses via unanimous decision.
Stopped for first time in career by Stefan Struve at UFC 204
HeavyweightUFC
October 8, 2016
Omielanczuk lost to Stefan Struve via submission (D'arce choke) at 1:41 of Round 2 at UFC 204 on Saturday in Manchester, England.
ANALYSIS
Omielanczuk did the best he could but he was just giving away too much height and reach to the much bigger Struve. The opponents who give Struve the most trouble are explosive, quick athletes, and Omielanczuk is neither. He connect with a few shots in Round 1 when Struve didn't get out of the pocket quick enough after pushing forward, but as soon as Struve grabbed ahold of him, Omielanczuk was done. Now sporting a 4-3 record in his three-plus years in the UFC, Saturday was the first time in Omielanczuk's career that he was stopped.
Takes decision Wednesday in South Dakota
HeavyweightUFC
July 13, 2016
Omielanczuk defeated Alexey Oleinik via majority decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-28) at UFC Fight Night on Wednesday in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
ANALYSIS
The scores were strange (perhaps one judge added incorrectly), but the end result was correct. There was a lot of talk earlier this month about Omielanczuk testing positive for meldonium, but the USDA ruled that the specific substance that he took could not be confirmed and he was never suspended. Two weeks later, he has an impressive win under his belt. Following back-to-back losses against Jared Rosholt and Anthony Hamilton, Omielanczuk has now run off three-straight wins.
