Drops unanimous decision in UFC debut Saturday
Ricci lost to Jeremy Kennedy via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC on FOX 21 on Saturday in Vancouver.
ANALYSIS
The 34-year-old Ricci had no answer for the wrestling game of his younger opponent. Ricci actually landed nearly twice as many total strikes as Kennedy (83-43), but none of the ones that connected were of particular note and it's difficult to win when you are being dominated either up against the fence, or laying flat on your back. Ricci is going to get another fight with the company, but he's nothing more than roster depth.
