2015 Fantasy Racing Outlook

Gordon silenced all his critics with a run at the championship in 2014. The Hendrick Motorsports icon found the team chemistry to win four races last year, which was his best mark since 2007. Gordon also converted 23 Top 10ís, which was his best mark in that category since 2009. Back problems will always lurk in the shadows for this driver, but the 42-year-old seems to be holding up well physically. Gordonís desire and urgency to win that elusive fifth championship was only stoked by the success he had in the recently completed season. Under the guidance of crew chief Alan Gustafson, Gordon should win multiple races and stack up the numbers again in the coming season.

Gordon's seventh-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway was one of his most challenging Top-10 efforts. He struggled with handling for the balance of the event and ran 12th-15th for most of the race. However, a late caution and a two-tire change propelled him into the Top 10, gordonline.com reports.

Gordon used a Top-10 start to his advantage early in Sunday's race at Fontana, maintaining that standing until the first caution of the race. However, it would take good pit strategy and steady racing for him to finish 10th in Sunday's Auto Club 400, hendrickmotorsports.com reports.
