Cindy Woosley didn’t set out to be a pioneer. But this weekend at Las Vegas, a woman who has always had an affinity for working on cars, has worked as a sheet metal fabricator as well as a skilled home builder, will add another line to her resume – the first female crew chief in NASCAR national series history, NASCAR.com reports

Davis has been released as a part-time driver for the No. 77 Busch Series car at Kevin Harvick Inc.,sources say. The sources said Davis could drive for the North Carolina-based team in another series later this season, the Spartanburg Herald Journal reports.

Davis will make his fourth Busch Series start at the Nashville Superspeedway. Returning to the seat of the No. 77 Dollar General stores Chevrolet, Davis has made two previous starts for Kevin Harvick Inc. in the 2007 Busch Series season, kevinharvickinc.com reports.

Busch Series driver Davis announced that he will attempt to make his first Nextel Cup start this weekend in Richmond for the Crown Royal 400. Davis recieved the call to drive the No. 89 Dodge, normally driven by Morgan Shepherd, kertusdavis.com reports.
