Wood and the Cubs agreed to a one-year, $1.75 million deal on Sunday, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Recommendation:
The deal could be worth an additional $6 million in incentives. Wood made just four starts in 2006 as he spent most of the season rehabbing a torn rotator cuff. He is expected to return in a relief role, and with Ryan Dempster struggling mightily last season, Wood could find himself in the closer's role if he proves himself capable and healthy.
