Hampton will have surgery on his left elbow Tuesday, and will miss his second straight season, the Associated Press reports.

Recommendation:
Hampton was diagnosed with a torn flexor tendon in the elbow on Monday after experiencing pain during a bullpen session Sunday. He is expected to be able to return to pitching activities in six-to-nine months.
