PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS

GOALKEEPERS

Kasper Schmeichel, LEI v. ATL ($4,600): Leicester City are in decent shape after dropping the first leg at Atletico Madrid 1-0. The Foxes were in a similar position after dropping the first leg 1-0 at Sevilla, then winning 2-0 at home to advance to the quarter-final. Schmeichel stopped a penalty kick and turned up with 17 fantasy points in that one, and if Leicester City have any shot at slipping into the semi-final, a repeat performance is necessary.

Danijel Subasic, MCO v. DOR ($4,500): Carrying a 3-2 lead into the second leg at home is a good spot to be in for Monaco. It also means Subasic is likely to be peppered with shots with Dortmund playing catch-up. The opportunity for points through multiple saves will be there, and with that comes the possibility of a big fantasy score at a reasonable price if Subasic is up to the task. With both home goalkeepers listed in the space within $100 of each other, I recommend interchanging the pair if multi-entering GPPs.

DEFENDERS

Benjamin Mendy, MCO v. DOR ($5,500): Mendy was absent from the first leg but returned over the weekend against Dijon in Ligue 1 action. He plays a part in the Monaco attack, and his absence was noticeable in the first leg despite Monaco coming away with a 3-2 win. Mendy has multiple double-digit crossing games, and if Dortmund force the issue, there's a good chance he'll push double-digit fantasy points.

Raphael Guerreiro, DOR at MCO ($4,900): Guerreiro had eight crosses in the first leg, with all eight coming in the second half. We can expect more of the same with Dortmund needing to attack from the start. Guerreiro is able to play multiple positions, so if Dortmund throw everything into the attack it's very possible that he's pushed into a more forward role.

Phillip Lahm, MUN at RMD ($3,500): Lahm isn't a flashy play, but for $3,500 we can hope for his usual dusting of crosses along with a few other peripherals to make value. Bayern will be playing from behind, which means we could see an uptick in crosses as they look to even the score.

MIDFIELDERS

Neymar, BAR v. JUV ($10,200): Facing a 3-0 deficit, Barca will need more of the same magic the Brazilian produced to overturn a 4-0 deficit against PSG in the Round of 16. Two goals, one assist and an eye-popping 49 fantasy points pushed Neymar's owners to the top of the leaderboards. He enters Wednesday's second leg fresh after missing Barcelona's game over the weekend due to suspension, and with Barcelona pushing for goals from the opening whistle, the stage is set for another big score.

Marco Reus, DOR at MCO ($8,000): Reus returned to Bundesliga action over the weekend, scoring a goal in a strong 45-minute showing. Dortmund are desperate for goals to overturn a 3-2 deficit, so the return of a key attacking piece comes at just the right time ahead of Wednesday's second leg. If he's in the starting lineup, he'll likely resume his share of set piece duty, boosting his upside in what could turn into a frantic back-and-forth affair.

Riyad Mahrez, LEI v. ATL ($6,800): After a slow start to the season, Mahrez has forced his way back into fantasy consideration. He finished with seven fantasy points at Atletico in the first leg, and with the tie well within reach, a double-digit showing in the second leg isn't far fetched.

FORWARDS

Lionel Messi, BAR v. JUV ($10,600): Messi was up to his usual tricks in La Liga play over the weekend, bagging a brace and finishing with 38 fantasy points. Despite being kept off the scoresheet by Juventus in the first leg, Messi was still able to muster up 13 points. There's no way around it, Barcelona have to score goals to have a shot at another unthinkable Champions League upset. Fortunately, they have arguably the most potent attack in the world, and while Juventus are generally sound defensively, I think Messi and company will make things interesting once again.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, DOR at MCO ($9,000): Aubameyang was kept in check in the first leg, managing four shots and seven fantasy points in the 3-2 loss. Goals are on the menu in the second leg, and considering Aubameyang is tied with Messi atop the anytime goalscorer chart according to the oddsmakers, he deserves serious consideration in what is likely to be an open game throughout.

Falcao, MCO v. DOR ($6,500): Falcao was given a breather in Ligue 1 competition over the weekend, but he still managed to put his name on the scoresheet with a free kick goal in 30 minutes off the bench. Monaco hold a 3-2 lead heading into the second leg, but with the attacking firepower Dortmund have they simply can't sit back and protect the lead. Strike partner Kylian Mbappe ($8,100) was the star of the show in the first leg, but with multiple high dollar targets to pay up for on this slate, I'll take the discount with Monaco's leading scorer in Falcao.
