RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copper contributed 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and two assists across 27 minutes during Sunday's 85-80 loss to the Storm.

Copper tallied 39 points over her last two games this season -- an impressive mark. Overall, however, Copper's second season was somewhat disappointing, as she didn't make any significant strides over her rookie campaign. That said, she did manage to start 10 games, posting 10.5 points and 2.4 boards on 50.0 percent shooting across 20.5 minutes per game in that role.

Kahleah Copper: Past News Updates   ( ▲ View most recent update )

August 29, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copper contributed a season-high 17 points (6-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and four rebounds across 26 minutes during Sunday's 92-62 loss to the Liberty.

Copper saw extended run in Cheyenne Parker's (ankle) absence, recording 26 minutes compared to her season average of 13.3. She rewarded the coaching staff for entrusting her with such a workload, dropping a season-high 17 points, which also tied her career high. Copper could continue to be a low-cost flier in DFS for as long as Parker is sidelined, but one fantasy-relevant performance is certainly a small sample size.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copper contributed 13 points (5-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and three rebounds across 20 minutes during Friday's 81-70 victory over the Fever.

Copper, who normally played just 12.0 minutes per game with the Sky, was given extended run and responded by having one of her best games of the season, matching her season-high 13 points. That said, she can still be largely avoided in DFS until she garners a bigger workload, allowing her to bump up her averages of just 5.4 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copper entered the All-Star break averaging 5.5 points and 1.8 rebounds across 12.0 minutes per game.

In just her second season in the league and first with the Sky, Copper has played just a minor role off the bench. On a per-minute basis, Copper's scoring has been solid, but she doesn't get enough playing time to make her relevant in fantasy contests. Copper has reached double-digit scoring just twice this season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copper finished with a season-high 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt) to go along with three rebounds across 20 minutes during Friday's 78-68 victory over the Liberty.

Copper has seen a reduced role with her new squad this season, but with the Sky having the worst record in the East, Friday's game could be a sign of things to come for the 23-year-old sophomore. While she's averaging just 11.8 minutes per game on the season, over the past three outings, she's averaging 16.7 minutes. That said, she likely won't become fantasy relevant for the Sky unless she starts seeing at least 20 minutes per game on a regular basis.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copper is averaging 4.8 points over 11.3 minutes per game in her 17 outings this season.

After averaging 16.2 minutes with Washington last season, it seems that Copper has a reduced role with her new squad in 2017. However, Chicago has the worst record in the Eastern Conference and may soon start giving their younger players additional playing time. Copper would fit the bill, seeing that this is only her second year in the league at 23 years old.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Copper recorded eight points (3-6 FG, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and three turnovers across 16 minutes during Sunday's 61-70 loss to the Lynx.

Copper spent her rookie season with the Mystics, so Sunday was a strong debut with her new team. She was very efficient with her time on the floor, although she'll need to clean up the turnovers to continue to maximize her value. It's also important to note that two key contributors, Allie Quigley and Courtney Vandersloot, are both still overseas playing in the Turkish League playoffs, so their eventual return could cut into Cooper's playing time, making it a situation to monitor for the time being.
