Delle Donne finished with 15 points (6-13 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one block across 34 minutes during Sunday's 81-70 elimination loss to the Lynx.

With Sunday's loss, the Mystics' season has come to a close. Delle Donne did what she could to pull her team to a Finals berth, averaging 20.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 34.8 minutes per game in the postseason.

Elena Delle Donne: Past News Updates   ( ▲ View most recent update )

September 15, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne finished with 25 points (7-15 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 9-10 FT), five rebounds and one assist across 39 minutes during Thursday's 93-83 loss to the Lynx.

Delle Donne and teammate Kristi Toliver, who also scored 25 points, were the only two Mystics players in double figures Thursday. The Mystics are now down 2-0 to the Lynx in the best of five series and will seemingly need the rest of the team to step up to get out of the hole they've dug themselves into. The team's struggles haven't been the fault of Delle Donne, however, who is averaging 21.3 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in these playoffs. In a win or go home scenario, Delle Donne may be one of the only safe DFS plays on the Mystics' roster.

September 13, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne finished with 17 points (6-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds and one assist across 29 minutes during Tuesday's 101-81 loss to the Lynx.

Though the Mystics struggled during the fast-paced affair, Delle Donne was able to secure some solid numbers. That said, it was her worst outing of the postseason so far, collecting lows in points, rebounds, blocks and assists. She'll look to bounce back during Game 2.

September 12, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne finished with 18 points (8-21 FG, 2-7 3Pt), 10 rebounds, two assists and one block across 35 minutes during Sunday's 82-68 victory over the Liberty.

Though she struggled against the Liberty during the regular season, Delle Donne pulled her weight Sunday. The win means the Mystics advanced and will take on the Lynx during Round 3 of the postseason. During the teams' first matchup of the season, Delle Donne posted 17 points (5-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-7 FT) and eight rebounds across 32 minutes per game. The second game between the two teams occurred during the final game of the season when the Mystics had already secured a playoff berth, resulting in Delle Donne seeing just 18 minutes.

September 8, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne finished with 25 points (8-18 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 8-8 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 38 minutes during Wednesday's 86-76 victory over the Wings.

Delle Donne made easy work of the Wings during Wednesday's elimination game, performing well on both sides of the rock. She, and the rest of the Mystics, will take on the Liberty during Round 2. She's struggled against New York this season, totaling just 30 points and 13 boards over her two appearances against the team.

September 5, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne finished with 12 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and two rebounds across 18 minutes during Sunday's 86-72 loss to the Lynx.

With the Mystics locked into a playoff birth, there was little reason to overwork the starting five Sunday. As a result, Delle Donne's performance can essentially be ignored from a fantasy perspective considering she played just 18 minutes.

August 30, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne provided 24 points (7-13 FG, 10-10 FT), a career-high 16 rebounds, three blocks and one assist across 35 minutes during Tuesday's 86-76 loss to the Sun.

Delle Donne has caught fire over the past two games, totaling 53 points, 27 rebounds, four blocks and two assists. It seems safe to declare she's returned to form after missing every matchup between July 30 and Aug. 25 due to left thumb surgery. The fifth-year player out of Delaware is putting together an on-par season with her new team, posting 19.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.5 blocks across 30.4 minutes per contest.

August 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne (thumb) will return to action Friday against the Liberty, Doug Feinberg of the Associated Press reports.

Delle Donne has been working back to full strength since undergoing surgery on her left thumb in late-July, and she'll make her return to action Friday. The forward, who hasn't played since July 30, is averaging 18.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.5 blocks per game on the year.

August 20, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne (thumb) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Fever.

After having surgery to repair a torn ligament in her left thumb at the end July, Delle Donne continues to go through the recovery process and has yet to be given the green light for a return. The Mystics have yet to provide additional clarification on a timetable, so consider he questionable for Friday's game against the Liberty. Look for added touches for the likes of Kristi Toliver, Emma Meesseman and Tierra Ruffin-Pratt.

August 18, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne (thumb) is out for Friday's tilt against the Mercury.

Delle Donne, who should be considered day-to-day, will miss Friday's contest. Emma Meesseman should continue seeing additional touches as a result

August 16, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne (thumb) will not play during Wednesday's tilt against the Sparks.

Delle Donne, who was set a timetable for return of "at least two weeks" after she injured her thumb during the last game of July, will not play Wednesday. We've passed the two-week mark, so she should likely be considered day-to-day from here on out. Emma Meesseman will likely continue seeing the bulk of additional touches in Delle Donne's absence.

August 1, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament in her left thumb during Sunday's game against the Dream and will miss at least two weeks, ESPN reports.

This is an unfortunate blow for Delle Donne and the Mystics, as she's a major contributor to the team. So far this season, the 6-foot-5 forward has posted 18.8 points, 6.5 boards, 1.6 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steals across 29.6 minutes per game. If the two-week recovery time sticks, she should make her return around August 15. In the meantime, Tierra Ruffin-Pratt and Emma Meesseman will likely see extra run.

August 1, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne notched 10 points (3-10 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds and two blocks across 34 minutes during Sunday's 77-70 victory over the Dream.

Discounting July 14's game, where she played just three minutes before suffering an ankle injury, Delle Donne's 10 points Sunday marked her lowest scoring total of the season. She normally provides 18.8 points per contest. On the plus side, she provided solid fantasy value in other areas of her game, preventing her performance from being labeled a total dud. Regardless, Sunday's game should probably be considered an outlier for Delle Donne, who has been a relatively consistent source of scoring for the Mystics this season and remains one of the best frontcourt options available in DFS.

July 28, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne, as well as every other player involved, will not participate in Friday's game against the Sun due to a leak in the arena's ceiling, causing the game to be postponed.

The game was originally delayed, but the issue was unable to be resolved, causing a postponement. Those who deployed players on either team in DFS may be out of luck.

July 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne tallied a season-high 29 points (10-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocks across 35 minutes during Tuesday's 85-76 victory over the Stars.

Delle Donne came out of the All-Star break firing on all cylinders Tuesday, stuffing the stat sheet en route to a double-double and season-high 29 points. She was a game-time decision heading into the contest, as she had missed the team's past two games with a sprained right ankle, but that clearly didn't slow her down. Overall, Delle Donne continues to prove that she's one of the best options available in DFS.

July 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne (ankle) is in the starting five for Tuesday's matchup against the Stars.

Delle Donne was a game-time decision leading up to Tuesday's matchup after missing the Mystics' past two games with a right ankle sprain, but will end up seeing the floor. She's posting 18.7 points, 6.2 boards, 1.6 assists and 1.4 blocks per game, making her one of the better DFS options available on any given day.

July 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne (ankle) is a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against the Stars, ESPN reports.

Delle Donne, who has missed the past two games with an ankle sprain, is a game-time decision for Tuesday's contest. If she ultimately misses the game, Emma Meesseman, Tierra Ruffin-Pratt and Ivory Latta could all be in line for an extended workload.

July 21, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne (ankle) is averaging 18.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.4 blocks per game heading into the All-Star break.

While Delle Donne is currently battling an ankle injury that'll keep her out through All-Star weekend, she is still having another solid season in the first year with her new team. Her numbers, however, are her lowest since her second WNBA season in 2014, but that's likely because there is less of an offensive burden on her in Washington than there was in Chicago. Delle Donne is still continuing to herself worthy of perennial All-Star status.

July 18, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne (ankle) will remain sidelined for Wednesday's matchup with the Dream and will also sit out Saturday's All-Star game, ESPN.com reports.

Delle Donne will be missing her second straight contest after originally suffering a sprained ankle last Friday against the Fever. With the All-Star break coming after Wednesday's contest, the Mystics will hold Delle Donne out with the hope that an extended break will give her a chance to return to full strength. Emma Meesseman benefited the most in Delle Donne's absence in the Mystics' last game, posting 19 points in 24 minutes. That said, in addition to Meesseman, players like Tierra Ruffin-Pratt and Ivory Latta could be in line for a bigger workload as well. Delle Donne will head into the All-Star break with averages of 18.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.1 steals across 29.1 minutes.

July 16, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Liberty.

Delle Donne was forced from Friday's game against the Fever in the first quarter and the ankle sprain is still giving her some lingering pain, so she'll sit out Sunday. She's fully expected to have it reevaluated on Monday by team doctors, which should give us a better idea if she's going to be forced to miss more time. With Taylor Hill now expected to miss the season with a torn ACL, the Mystics will be without their top two scorers, which should mean plenty of opportunities offensively for the likes of Kristi Toliver, Emma Meesseman and Tierra Ruffin-Pratt.

July 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne was forced out of Friday's matchup against the Fever due to an ankle injury.

The injury occurred just three minutes into the game. While the severity of the issue is not known at this time, Delle Donne's status for Sunday's game against the Liberty certainly seems up in the air. The 27-year-old has averaged 19.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 1.1 steals across 30.6 minutes per game, and was recently voted a starter for the upcoming All Star game. Look for Emma Meesseman and Krystal Thomas to take on larger frontcourt roles if Delle Donne is forced to miss more time.

July 9, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne posted a season-high 28 points (12-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one block across 31 minutes in Saturday's loss to the Suns.

Saturday's performance was the efficient showing that Delle Donne needed to get back on track after she shot just 35.5 percent from the field over the course of her last three games. It's been an up-and-down stretch for the MVP over the past few weeks, but Delle Donne has remained consistent enough on the glass where she'll continue to be an elite, expensive DFS option going forward.

July 6, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne finished with a team-high 15 points (5-13 FG, 1-2 3PT, 4-4 FT) in addition to five rebounds, three assists, a steal, and three blocks across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 80-88 loss to the Mercury.

Delle Donne, one of the elite fantasy options in the league, has scored in the double-digits through all 16 contests during her 2017 campaign. In addition to her consistent offensive dominance, she's also aggressive on the boards, registering an average of 6.6 rebounds per game. To go along with her 6.6 rebounds, Delle Donne is posting averages of 19.3 points, 1.6 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.2 steals across 30.5 minutes per tilt.

July 4, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne finished Sunday's 69-76 loss to the Sparks with 22 points (7-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, two steals, two blocks and two turnovers across 29 minutes.

After shooting just 25 percent in the Mystics' previous contest, Delle Donne had a nice bounce-back effort Sunday, scoring 22 points at a 44 percent clip from the field. It was her second time over the last three games surpassing the 20-point mark and boosted her season scoring average to 19.6 points per game. In addition to the 19.6 points, Delle Donne is also averaging 6.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.2 steals across 30.4 minutes, making her one of the elite fantasy options in the league.

June 29, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne mustered 15 points (4-16 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 7-7 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block across 33 minutes during Thursday's 67-54 victory over the Liberty.

Though she shot poorly, Delle Donne shared a team-high 15 points and came up just one board shy of a double-double. She's posting season averages of 19.8 points, 6.7 boards, 1.6 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.2 steals across 30.2 minutes per game -- making her one of the best fantasy options available.

June 27, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne registered a game-high 25 points (7-10 FG, 2-4 3PT, 9-9 FT), along with five rebounds, an assist, and a steal across 24 minutes in Tuesday's victory over the Storm.

Delle Donne has yet to have a single-digit scoring outing since the 2017 commenced, and continues to prove to be an established elite player. The forward should be considered a premier fantasy candidate considering her averages of 19.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.2 steals across 30.7 minutes per contest.

June 12, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne produced a game-high 25 points (9-15 FG, 4-6 3PT, 3-3 FT) to go along with seven rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block across 25 minutes in Sunday's victory over the Fever.

Delle Donne had a solid debut after being held out due to a groin injury that she endured last week, which caused her to be sidelined Friday against the Lynx. Even coming off of an injury, Delle Donne still proves to be a premier fantasy option. The fifth-year WNBA star is averaging 21.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.5 blocks across 30.6 minutes per tilt in her 2017 campaign so far.

June 11, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne (groin) is in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Fever.

Delle Donne aggravated a groin injury early last week and went on to be held out of Friday's tilt with the Lynx for extra rest and rehabilitation. However, after nearly a week off for recovery, she's officially been given the green light to to take the court and will rejoin the starting five as usual. While she could be somewhat of a risky DFS play fresh off an injury, Delle Donne has still been one of the better fantasy options all season with averages of 20.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.2 steals across 31.2 minutes.

June 8, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne is questionable for Friday's game against the Lynx due to a groin strain, Doug Feinberg of the Associated Press reports.

It's possible that Delle Donne aggravated her groin during Tuesday's matchup against the Wings, though nothing official has been released at the moment. Regardless, she's apparently in enough discomfort to put her status for Friday's tilt into question. If she's ultimately ruled out, expect players like Tierra Ruffin-Pratt, Natasha Cloud and Tianna Hawkins to all possibly see additional run.

June 7, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne produced a team-high 23 points (7-14 FG, 1-3 3PT, 8-8 FT), along with six rebounds, one assist, four steals, and three blocks across 33 minutes in Tuesday's victory against the Wings.

Delle Donne contributed across the board on Tuesday, helping out on both sides of the floor while only committing one turnover to help lead her team to a victory. The forward has been extremely active on the boards lately as she recorded 15 rebounds during Sunday's tilt versus Atlanta as well as 12 rebounds on May 31st against the Sun. Delle Donne is also showcasing her defensive abilities with her production of four steals, the most she's recorded in a game this season, as well as her three blocks in Tuesday's win.

June 5, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne posted 23 points (6-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 10-12 FT), 15 rebounds, one assist and one steal across 33 minutes in Sunday's victory over the Dream.

Sunday's performance was the second straight double-double for Delle Donne, who has been very effective on the glass as of late. The former MVP has now grabbed 27 rebounds over her last two contests after recording just 25 total in her first five, and if Delle Donne can continue to be an effective rebounder on top of already being of the league's most lethal offensive players, her floor as a fantasy option will continue to remain very high.

May 31, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Delle Donne contributed 13 points (3-15 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 7-7 FT), 12 rebounds, five blocks and four assists across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 78-76 victory over the Sun.

Delle Donne's double-double with five blocks was dampened somewhat by her poor shooting, as she managed to hit just three of her 15 attempts from the field. That said, Wednesday's shooting was likely just an outlier, rather than a sign of things to come. Even with her 3-for-15 performance, Delle Donne's shooting percentage on the season still rests at an impressive 55.7.

It was Delle Donne's first game since being traded from the Sky to the Mystics in February, and the former MVP did not disappoint. While Delle Donne can always be relied on for offensive production, it was good to see her be active on the glass with a season-high eight rebounds and block a pair of shots. When she's active on the boards and defensive end, Delle Donne is one of the best fantasy options in the WNBA.

It was a minor step back for Delle Donne, who had opened up the regular season with two very strong offensive performances. Delle Donne has averaged 20-plus points in each of her last two seasons, so Sunday's performance should be viewed as a small bump in the road ahead. However, Della Donne, who is averaging 6.5 rebounds per game for her career, will need to improve her work on the glass moving forward for her fantasy value to be optimized.

Delle Donne will play her first WNBA season outside of Chicago this year, as an offseason trade sent her to Washington after four seasons with the Sky. The 6-5 guard left her old team with no shortage of accolades, as Delle Donne earned all-WNBA honors the last two seasons, was the Rookie of the Year in 2013, and the league MVP in 2015. She's averaged 20.5 points per game across 105 WNBA contests, and a change of scenery is highly unlikely to slow her down.
