ANALYSIS
Hewitt, a first-round pick out of high school in 2008, showed moderate power and speed throughout his time in the minors, but never got on-base enough to maximize those skills. Now 25 years old, he'll try to latch on with another organization in a depth role.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2010
2009
Hewitt, a former first-round draft pick, is working on a transition from third base to the outfield after two disappointing seasons in the minors. Hewitt, 20, hit .223 in Low-A last season, striking out 77 times with just nine walks. He has a lot of raw talent but will struggle to make progress if he can't cut down on the strikeouts.
A first-round pick out of high school in 2008, Hewitt got off to a nice start in rookie ball but looked overmatched down the stretch, finishing with a .197 batting average with just one home run in 117 at-bats. He’s a superior athlete, but is about as raw as they get and is still several years away, at the very least, from entering the MLB radar.
