PLos Angeles Dodgers
June 1, 2016
Schlosser signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers and will report to Triple-A Oklahoma City, J.P. Hoornstra of the Southern California News Group reports.
ANALYSIS
Schlosser hasn't pitched since 2015 when he had a 4.82 ERA in 28 appearances at the Double-A level. It is likely that the 27-year-old serves as organizational depth for the Dodgers for the time being.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2015
2014
Schlosser, a 17th-round pick in 2011, was a surprise candidate for the Braves' final rotation spot coming into the year, with the team down several starters, but he was ultimately beat out in spring training by David Hale. A blown save in his second relief appearance of the season relegated Schlosser to mop-up duty for the rest of April, and the right-hander's continued struggles (5.79 ERA for the month) earned him a ticket back to Triple-A Gwinnett in early May. At Gwinnett, Schlosser posted a 4.00 ERA and 1.33 WHIP in 14 first-half appearances (12 starts), and the decision was made to have him pitch primarily out of the bullpen after the All-Star break, which is perhaps indicative of what his long-term role will be. Schlosser maxes out in the high-80s and only has three pitches, making it unlikely he'll ever be a quality major league starter.
Schlosser was the Double-A Mississippi Braves' pitcher of the year in 2013, as he posted a 2.39 ERA and a 6.7 K/9 over 25 starts (135.1 innings) last season. Schlosser is nominally in the competition for a job in the starting rotation this spring and could also be a long/middle-relief option, but he more likely is among the first callups from Triple-A if there's an opening in the big league rotation.
