ANALYSIS
At 38, he's pretty much limited to a pinch-hitter/reserve role. He probably won't be in high demand this winter.

Palmeiro served almost exclusively as a pinch-hitter last year, hitting .233 in 103 at-bats. Should he get a contract, he'll be no more than a bat off the bench.
The pinch-hitting maven hit .252 with 17 RBI in 119 at-bats in 2006. He will be the fifth outfielder for Houston this year, and will make his most significant impact coming off the bench.
Terrific real-life extra outfielder who doesn't do anything fantasy-friendly, and probably wouldn't if you gave him 400 ABs.
Palmiero gave the Astros a lefty bat off the bench and a capable replacement in the outfield. He'll try to fill that role again in 2005, although with Lance Berkman hurt, he may be called upon to do more at the start of the season.
One of the game's best bench players, and a completely unheralded asset on some good teams. Just not fantasy ones. He's not a starter unable to get job, but a legitimate fourth outfielder who lacks the power to play regularly.
Long-time Angel outfielder will likely end up elsewhere this year. He's mostly a pinch-hitter, defensive specialist, and spot starter. If he ever received regular playing time, he could be a cheap source of steals and a decent batting average.
