2013

Subscribe now to see our 2013 outlook.

2012

McCoy bounced around between Toronto and Triple-A Las Vegas, filling a utility role for the Jays when called upon. He doesn't hit for enough power or average to be of much use but did manage to swipe 12 bases in his limited role with the Jays. He'll be back in a similar role again this year.

2011

McCoy bounced around between Triple-A Las Vegas and Toronto when injuries dictated but didn't do anything in his limited time with the Jays to open many eyes. He's never shown much of a bat outside of the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League but does offer some speed upside if he's forced into an everyday role. His versatility will have him competing for a utility infield spot this spring.

2010

McCoy was claimed off waivers by Toronto after he hit .307 for Triple-A Colorado Springs last season before he appeared in 12 games for the Rockies as a September callup. The right-handed hitter stole 40 bases and finished the year with a .405 on-base percentage at Triple-A. He has little power, but McCoy is a good contact hitter and he's very versatile, showing the ability to play third, short or second. More than likely, he's just organizational depth for Toronto, but a good spring could land him a utility role with the big club.
