Rest-of-Season Projections
Redman, who is currently serving a 50-game suspension for testing positive for an amphetamine, received a 100-game suspension Monday for the same offense, the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
The 100-game suspension will take effect when the current suspension concludes, so Redman is done for the 2010 season and will miss a significant portion of 2011 as well. He was hitting .332 with 10 homers before the suspension, but at 30 years old, his time as a prospect has passed him by.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2004
2003
Redman received a cup of coffee after posting solid 2002 and 2003 seasons in the minors. He has the best tools of any outfielder in the organization other than Lastings Milledge but continues to struggle with his plate discipline. Redman is a late bloomer who has the arm to play all three OF positions, and has above-average speed in the field and on the basepaths. He'll probably begin 2004 in Triple-A but could break camp with the Mets if he has a solid spring training.
