2013

There was no outlook written for Vinny Rottino.

2009

Rottino hit .260/.313/.392 for Triple-A Nashville while playing almost exclusively at catcher. He's always shown the ability to hit and the Brewers were hoping to make him into a decent backup catcher. He took a step back offensively, but may have done enough to garner consideration as a backup in 2009.

2008

Rottino had a solid season at Triple-A Nashville, hitting .289/.363/.446 while playing a number of positions. The Brewers would like him to become a catcher and are playing him there as much as possible. Already 27, Rottino's future is as an ultra-utility player in the majors.

2007

Rottino is the ultimate utility player, being able to play just about any position on the field. The problem is that he doesn't play any of them well enough to be a starter. He's shown that he can hit at just about any level, hitting .314 with a .379 OBP for Triple-A Nashville last season. The Brewers would love to see him develop at catcher so they could use him as a backup there, but it just hasn't happened. Rottino will likely start out at Triple-A again in 2007.

2006

Rottino hit .299 with seven home runs between Double-A Huntsville and Triple-A Nashville in 2005. He doesn't have a position that he excels at and is destined to be a bench player.
