Ambriz is another promising right-hander in the Arizona system and while he was a 23-year-old at High-A Visalia, he pitched well enough to merit watching how he progresses against older competition at Double-A Mobile. His arsenal includes a low 90's fastball, splitter and an improving curveball, but his strikeout rate (133 in 150 IP) could tumble if he's unable to fully harness his breaking pitches. Given the organizational depth, Ambriz could factor into the long-term plans as a reliever if his pitches don't all hold up while he rises in the system.
