2013
There was no outlook written for Harold Garcia.
2012
Garcia was off to a solid start at Double-A last season before suffering a torn ACL that forced him to miss the rest of the season. He is expected to be ready for spring training and will likely head back to Double-A to open the regular season. Already 25 years old, Garcia will need to make up for his lost season with a strong campaign in 2012. If he struggles, his 40-man roster spot will be in jeopardy.
2011
Garcia split last season between High-A Clearwater and Double-A Reading. In July, he broke a 59-year-old Florida State League record by hitting safely in 37 consecutive games. Garcia continued to hit upon his promotion to Double-A, but did begin to strike out a bit more against the advanced pitching. The Phillies believe Garcia will at minimum develop into a solid utility player, but the hope is he can hit enough to be more than that. He'll open the year back at Reading.
