The depth of the Mets' rotation pushes Steven Matz to the No. 4 slot, but RotoWire's James Anderson says there's no doubt Matz is the top pitching prospect this season.
2016 Fantasy Outlook
Two of the Marlins’ top five fantasy prospects are first baseman following the selection of Josh Naylor in the 2015 draft and emergence of Woods in his first taste of full season ball. Drafted in 2013 as an outfielder, it was only a matter of time before Woods (6-foot-3, 230-pounds) moved to first base, and that transition happened at the outset of 2015. His bat really took off following the position change, blasting 18 home runs while slashing .277/.364/.496 in 104 games for Low-A Greensboro. Woods, 20, had just three home runs and never hit better than .240 in 87 games across rookie ball and short season ball in 2013 and 2014, so it would have been difficult to see a breakout coming. His 30.3 percent K-rate and .376 BABIP are reasons to tread lightly, and it will be interesting to see if his raw power continues to show up in games in the pitcher-friendly Florida State League in 2016.
