Collette Calls: Rare Air

Before you pull the trigger on a rookie-heavy roster in your draft, consider that 20-plus homers from a rookie (Dan Uggla, 27 in 2006) are the exception rather than the rule. Jason Collette takes a closer look.

RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2014

There was no outlook written for Craig Paquette.

2003

While Paquette wasn't going to match his 2001 stats, he's a better player than he showed during his nightmarish first season with the Tigers. Split the difference between the two seasons and you get Paquette's likely production for 2003. Look for around 300 at-bats, a .240 average and maybe 10-12 homers. The new left-field dimensions at home can't hurt.
