2004
Last season was another difficult, injury-plagued year for Jarvis as he managed only 16 starts, going 4-8 with a 5.87 ERA. Jarvis signed a three-year, $9 million contract two years ago, but he's floundered since, going 6-12 the past two seasons. Jarvis was traded to Seattle in the Jeff Cirillo deal and stands to be a fill-in starting pitcher, when needed, and otherwise pitch long relief.
2003
Posted four solid starts to begin the 2002 season before eventually being shut down for season ending elbow surgery in July. If Jarvis can regain the form he had last spring, he could be a nice late-round sleeper.
