Middle relievers have become a highly fungible and peripatetic lot and Leskanic is no different. He's toiled for Milwaukee, Kansas City (twice), and Boston in the last two seasons and will add another team to that list in 2005.

Leskanic nearly retired after a dominant season but was coaxed back after having a great experience with the Royals. He could find some save situations this season if Mike MacDougal struggles.

Leskanic missed the entire 2002 season after having shoulder surgery after the 2001 season. He was never able to fully recover from the surgery and finally started looking ahead to 2003. The Brewers have been looking to trade Leskanic since they are happy with Mike DeJean as their closer, but will have a tough time finding any takers.
