Almonte, who opened the 2004 season with a 1-0 record and 12.46 ERA (18er/13.0ip) in 10 relief appearances before being transferred to the short-season Williamsport roster on May 8, has been re-added to Triple-A Nashville's roster, the Sounds' Official Site reports.

The Red Sox called up Almonte from Triple-A Pawtucket prior to Tuesday night's game, the Red Sox' Web site reports. As the PawSox' closer, Almonte was 3-0 with nine saves and a 1.73 ERA. He notched 28 strikeouts and just six walks in 26 innings, and opponents were hitting .176 against him.
