2013

2005
Texas snagged Tejera off waivers from Florida in September and thought enough of him to sign him to a minor league contract for 2005. Being Brian Shouse insurance doesn't read well on the resume, but it keeps him busy during the summer.
2004
Tejera's numbers were actually a bit better last year than in 2002, especially his home run rate, which points to decent results in 2004. He'll still need to improve his control if he's ever going to be anything more than roster filler though.
2003
Tejera had a good run in the first half, good enough to earn a spot in the rotation, but major league hitters figured him out after the All-Star break -- either that or the standard Torborg high pitch counts caught up with him in his first full season after elbow surgery in 2000. Either way he's got shot at a full-time rotation slot this spring -- don't count him out.
