Prokopec had a setback in his recovery from shoulder surgery in July of 2003 and needed a second surgery. He isn't expected to start pitching again until July 2004 at the earliest.

Ugly year for the Australian in Toronto, as he was never able to build on his Dodger success from 2001 and ended the year early with a labrum tear. Dodgers picked him back up for two years but he will likely miss all of 2003 rehabbing.
