RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Kris Wilson.
Wilson was Tony Pena's swingman in 2003, moving from long relief to short relief to starter at points during the season. He earned a spot in the rotation in late July but was sent to Omaha two weeks later. Two years past elbow surgery, Wilson should be in good shape to compete for a rotation spot this season.
Battled through a surgically repaired elbow early in 2002, turned in eight hum-drum outings in Kansas City and was sent to Wichita to become a starter. His major-league work in 2002 wasn't good, but he's shown flashes when healthy. Give him another off-season to regain strength in his elbow, and he might be in the running for a rotation spot in Kansas City in 2003.
