2006

If it weren't for the major league deal that Sardinha signed as an early draft pick in the 2000 draft, Sardinha wouldn't be within sniffing distance of the Reds 40-man roster. Unfortunately for them, their upper level farm clubs are littered with hitting non-entities like him.

2005

A quick look at Sardinha's Triple-A BB:K ratio of 10:94 reveals all you need to know about his offensive value.

2003

Sardinha was the Reds' second-round pick in the 2000 draft, signing a major league deal at the time. This is the only reason he's currently on the 40-man roster. Sardinha's bat is nowhere near ready for the major leagues � he had a .234 on-base percentage playing all season at Double-A Chattanooga.
