Past Fantasy Outlooks
2004
2003
Stewart's 2003 Cinderella story turned into something more Grimm during the summer -- he won the fifth starter's job with a great spring, but then took a line drive off the collarbone at the end of April. The resulting blood clot and circulatory problems shut him down for the rest of the year. In the long run it looks like he'll be OK, but now the finesse lefty will have to prove himself all over again once he returns to the mound. We wouldn't bet against him.
Stewart was one of the stand-outs in the Arizona Fall League in 2002, but he just doesn't strike out enough batters to be considered a top prospect. He'll spend 2003 in Triple-A trying to change that perception.
