2006
Ramirez was sidelined with a strained tendon in his pitching hand, but later found a regular seat on the Arlington-Oklahoma City shuttle. Expect more of the same.
2005
Ramirez was sent to the minors twice in 2004, the first time for John Wasdin and the second time for the decaying remains of Scott Erickson. He's left-handed so he'll still be pitching long after Erickson's offspring earn the right to vote, but Ramirez is pretty replaceable as lefties go.
2004
Like bullpen-mate and fellow southpaw Ron Mahay, Ramirez was surprisingly effective in 2003, especially given the context of the Texas bullpen. The two of them are healthy reminders of why three-year contracts to middle relief flotsam are rarely a good ideas.
