RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Matt Hensley.
A free agent at publication time, Hensley is continuing to recover from May 2005 surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff and frayed labrum. He's got a long road back so don't look for anything from him in 2006.
After spending two seasons stalled at Triple-A, Hensley switched from starter to reliever and the results were dramatic. He shaved two runs off of his ERA, increased his K/BB ratio, and dropped his WHIP under 1.00. Though the ERA and WHIP weren't there when he finally made it to the Show last June, he still posted a 30/7 K/BB ratio in 27.2 IP, showing major league staying power.
