2008
Roberson can steal bases, cover a lot of ground in the outfield and has proven he can be very difficult to strike out. Still, he's been a fringe major leaguer throughout his career, and he's likely to be a depth guy even with the Orioles.
2007
Roberson is a speed-and-defense fifth outfielder in the making. He bounced back and forth between Triple-A and Philadelphia in 2006 and didn't impress much at either stop. He could hit .260 in the majors with 20 stolen bases, but with little power or patience. Don't bother.
2006
Roberson is a marginal outfield prospect who had a pretty good year at Double-A. He needs to cut down on his strikeouts and make the most of any major league opportunities that come his way. At 26, he doesn't have much time left.
2005
Roberson is a decent fourth outfield prospect. He hit .307-9-27-16 at high Single-A Clearwater in 2004 after swiping 59 bases in Low-A in 2003. He missed the second half of 2004 with a stress fracture in his right leg, but returned to play in the AFL. Roberson is 25, so time and his poor plate discipline are working against him.
