2013
There was no outlook written for Zach Jackson.
2009
Jackson was a throw-in the CC Sabathia trade but might have earned himself a shot at a rotation spot with a handful of decent starts down the stretch for Cleveland. Scouts drool over southpaws that provide ample shade and Jackson fits the profile at 6'5" but he's been far too inconsistent in the minors to portend much success in the majors.
2008
Jackson was very mediocre for Triple-A Nashville in 2007, posting a 4.46 ERA with 123 strikeouts in 169.2 IP. The Brewers will put him back into the rotation at Triple-A next season, but it's looking like his future is in the bullpen.
2007
Jackson showed some promise in 2006 but was inconsistent and is still probably a year away from the majors. He had a 4.12 ERA for Triple-A Nashville, but struck out just 58 batters in 108 innings. He doesn't throw hard but has a deceptive delivery and uses location to get batters to hit ground balls. As a lefty, he'll get plenty of chances to improve and could see some time in Milwaukee this year.
2006
Jackson, Toronto's second pick in the 2004 draft, started the year at High-A Dunedin and pitched his way to Triple-A Syracuse. His numbers there left a lot to be desired, but he's reached Triple-A at age 22 so there's plenty to like. He keeps the ball in the park, and his control should come around with additional innings at the upper levels.
