RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2013

There was no outlook written for Jeff Baisley.

2009

Baisley's 2008 season at Triple-A Sacramento (.298/.371/.480) earned him a look down the stretch as the third baseman over Jack Hannahan with Eric Chavez still sidelined. He's a better internal candidate to handle the duties long-term if Chavez doesn't return to health, but the A's put a focus on finding a solution from outside the system this winter as well. He won't kill you if he ends up thrust into a full-time role in the event of another Chavez injury, but his value to start the year will be minimal.
