Porzingis is projected to have his playing time gradually extended from 20 minutes per night at the start of the season by President Phil Jackson, Charley Rosen of ESPN reports. "It's entirely up to [coach Derek Fisher], but it would be great if [Porzingis] could get as much as 20 minutes a game early in the season, plus maybe a few more later when he's acclimated to the NBA game. It also has to be determined whether he'll be more comfortable at power forward or center."
Early was identified by President Phil Jackson as someone who could see a substantial role this upcoming season, Charley Rosen of ESPN reports. "He could easily move into the rotation and play 28-30 minutes," Jackson said. "It's up to him. But there are several things he has to work on."
