ANALYSIS
Kurtz was a junior college transfer who has a stress fracture in his foot that will require him to miss six to eight weeks, the Desert News reported. This, coupled with a renewed focus on the long ball, should help Apo have a strong bounce back season.

Apo was once a high-ranking recruit for BYU and even had a promising freshman year, but he has since been quiet. In an offense that's more about the run than the pass, it's difficult to see Apo making a big fantasy impact with star wideout Cody Hoffman demanding most of the targets.

Apo was very encouraging as a redshirt freshman last year, immediately emerging as one of the nation’s most dangerous red-zone threats. Although he only caught 34 passes for 453 yards, Apo made nine of those catches in the end zone. With quarterback Riley Nelson back and Cody Hoffman drawing most of the coverage on the other side, Apo is in a very favorable situation.

Apo is a redshirt freshman who was one of the top receiver recruits a year ago. In what should be a blooming BYU offense, Apo has the potential to be a hit right away. He's worth watching in all scenarios.
