November 30, 2014
Saxton caught three passes for 12 yards in Friday's 42-40 loss to Navy.
ANALYSIS
Saxton failed to record a touchdown during the regular season for the second year in a row. A highly touted prospect coming in to the year, Saxton's production saw a huge dip this season. He caught only 20 passes for 155 yards compared to 50 catches for 635 yards last season. Saxton will play in the Jaguars' bowl game if they're selected for one and will most likely be a late round draft pick in the NFL Draft.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2013
If Saxton could just start finding the end zone he'd be one of the absolute best fantasy tight ends in the country. He's been a prolific pass catcher for the Jaguars over the last two years, totaling 76 catches for 971 yards over his last 19 games, a rate that projects to 48 catches for 613 yards over 12 games, but he has just one touchdown over that span. At 6-foot-4, 240 pounds, there's no obvious physical limitation that would preclude Saxton from making a red-zone impact, so perhaps the pendulum will swing the other way in 2014 and he'll get a flurry of touchdown catches.
Saxton split the tight end workload with Greg Hollinger last season and still managed to finish with a solid 26 receptions for 336 yards and a touchdown. Now that Hollinger and his 22 receptions are out of the picture, Saxton could be asked to handle a larger workload in his junior season. At 6-foot-4, 235 pounds he’s considered a receiving specialist, though he’ll likely spend a decent amount of time blocking in a balanced South Alabama attack. Jaguar tight ends accounted for 24 percent of the team’s receiving yards last season, so there’s some upside here if another tight end doesn’t emerge and cut into Saxton’s targets.
