Scores a touchdown in win over Oklahoma State
December 3, 2016
Lewis grabbed three catches for 28 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's win over Oklahoma State.
ANALYSIS
It was only Lewis' second touchdown of the season, but the senior receiver did appear to become one of Mayfield's favorite targets with Dede Westbrook out of the game. If Westbrook's injury limits him in the bowl game, look for Lewis to get an uptick in targets.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2015
2014
Lewis put together a strong season in 2014, compiling 751 yards on 55 receptions (13.7 YPR) and two touchdowns. He and DaeSean Hamilton combined to become one of the better receiving tandems in the Big 10 and are primed to build on that this season. Lewis will have the added benefit of a more polished Christian Hackenberg this season after the highly touted QB’s performance was undermined by shaky offensive line play and a non-existent run game last season. One drawback for Lewis is that he’s clearly the second option in Penn State’s receiving corps; despite his strong, 55-catch campaign last year, Lewis still caught 27 less passes than counterpart DaeSean Hamilton. Still, an improved offense overall in Happy Valley should result in better fantasy numbers for Lewis this season; he can easily improve upon his 13.7 YPR and two touchdowns from a year ago thanks to improved quarterback play and an overall increased comfort level in year two of James Franklin and John Donovan’s system.
Lewis (6-1, 201) was considered one of the better wideout recruits two years ago, but the presence of star wide receiver Allen Robinson (97 catches, 1,432 yards, six TD) held his numbers in check last season. He finished his redshirt freshman year with a modest 18 catches for 234 yards and three touchdowns. Robinson is in the NFL now, though, so it's Lewis' turn to serve as the workhorse. Quarterback Christian Hackenberg is an elite quarterback – perhaps one of the five best in the country – and Lewis should be his go-to receiver. The next closest returning Penn State wideout is Richy Anderson, who caught just 13 passes for 111 yards last year.
