Brown has left the USC football team after calling coach Steve Sarkisian a racist on social media, Arash Markazi of ESPN.com reports.

Sarkisian was blindsided by the comments of Brown, who had moved from defensive back to running back this offseason. The new Trojans coach had told Brown that he wanted him to stay with the team. Defensive tackle Antwaun Woods took to twitter to dispute Brown's claims saying, "Coach Sark is a great person/Coach! Please disregard comments that have been made by someone." Brown wasn't an impact fantasy player or on-field performer for USC, but this distraction along with the Josh Shaw saga, doesn't help Sarkisian ease into his first season as head coach.
