Mitchem took over for the injured Gautsche in the fourth quarter of Friday's loss and led New Mexico's offense on its final two drives - both which ended in the Lobos turning the ball over deep in UTEP territory. The senior ended the game 2-of-4 passing for 31 yards and having gained minus-six yards rushing on four carries. Expect Mitchem will get the start next Saturday against Arizona State given the nature of Gautsche's injury, but prove a less-than-satisfactory fantasy option against a Sun Devils' defense that this week surrendered just 308 total yards to Weber State.
