Past Fantasy Outlooks
2012
2011
2010
Nassib has turned into a quality starting quarterback for Syracuse, and heading into 2012 he is looking like a decent backup fantasy option, as well as a starter in Big East-only leagues. His average of 6.5 yards per pass from last year doesn't impress, but it's an acceptable limitation since he threw 22 touchdowns compared to nine interceptions. He also added two touchdowns on the ground. He likely won't be much better in 2012, but in an offense that threw the ball nearly 35 times per game he could make a push for the 3,000-yard mark this year.
Nassib has shown the ability to manage the game well enough and has solid receivers to throw to, but he seems to have a significant lack of big-play ability. If he's worth a draft pick, it's probably only in Big East-only leagues.
Nassib seems to have the quarterback spot to himself, and he gave Syracuse reason for cautious optimism as a sophomore last year. He only completed 52.9 percent of his passes and averaged only 6.2 yards per attempt, but he threw only one interception to three touchdowns. He'll hopefully improve in 2010 and become a game-manager type, though his lack of playmaking ability leaves him as a mediocre option even in Big East-only leagues.
