Lobato, a redshirt freshman, continues to attend meetings with the rest of Colorado's quarterback corps, but has recently begun taking reps in practice as a wide receiver, signaling a willingness by CU offensive coordinator Eric Kiesau to investigate making Lobato the Buffaloes own version of former KU receiver Kerry Meier, ESPN.com reports.

"Yeah, we're trying him out," says Kiesau. "The guy is 6-5. He's athletic. He's our Kerry Meier. I don't know if he can be that, but we're going to give him a shot and see what he can do . . . . We're going to find a sport for him because he's 6-5 and can run."
