Pope spent part of the 2006 season on the Bears' practice roster but was picked up by the Packers and thrown into the No. 5 running back spot. With no touches last year he will be facing an uphill battle to see the field in 2007, even with Ahman Green not in the mix. At best, he could maybe work his way up to the No. 3 slot, not enough to matter.

Pope, an undrafted rookie out of Bowling Green, will compete for a roster spot during training camp. With three running backs guaranteed to be on the Bears' final roster, however, Pope is a longshot to make the team and could end up on the practice squad.
