Gibson was claimed off waivers by the 49ers on Monday, Jason La Confara of NFL.com reports.

Gibson sits third on the Titans depth chart at right defensive end, and barring injury to Kamerion Wimbley and Ropati Pitoitua, should see very limited playing time in 2013.

Gibson will likely end up as a special teams contributor in 2012.
