The Cardinals signed Robinson to a one-year contract Wednesday, the Sports Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Robinson started 15 games for the Cards last season, but the 28 tackles and one sack that he finished up with provide evidence that he's no longer worthy of IDP consideration.

Robinson will likely be headed into a reserve role with the addition of Dan Williams in the draft. He didn't have much to offer IDP leaguers anyway, since his primary responsibility is to stop the run.
Robinson will turn 35 in late June and he’s expected to platoon with Gabe Watson (and possibly Alan Branch) this season. When he’s on the field, Robinson is asked to occupy blockers, not rack up stats. He has just 39 tackles and 2.5 sacks in his last 32 regular-season games.
Robinson is a second-stringer and should only be considered if injuries open a significant role. The Cardinals' defensive line has a recent history of injuries, so Robinson should be prepared.
In a contract year, but surpassed by Robert Geathers. Don't expect too many sacks.
Starting defensive end/backup defensive tackle. Robinson is a big end, more of a run-stuffer, and is not likely to put up big individual numbers. His presence at end could help the Bengals go to more 3-4 sets, though.

2002 was a year Robinson would like to forget, after a pair of broken wrists during the offseason led to a disappointing year. Plus, he was arrested for a DUI, which could lead to an NFL suspension for the beginning of the 2003 season. If healthy and eligible to play, Robinson will likely start at defensive tackle, although his main job there is to occupy blockers and allow Brian Urlacher to roam free.
