| 49ers general manager Trent Baalke intimated that he had three separate meetings prior to signing Asomugha to ensure "transparency," the Sacramento Bee reports. "Any time you're dealing with a veteran player - and I should say any player - I believe transparency is very important," he said. "In other words, no b.s. Any time you're dealing with a veteran that knows that his career has only got a couple of years left...you have to make sure that what they're looking for and what you're offering - that there's a match." |
