RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Lawrence Vickers.
Veteran fullback moves cross-state after lead blocking for Arian Foster in Houston last year. He hasn't found the end zone since 2009, so don't look for much fantasy value out of him, but Vickers could have a sizable impact on DeMarco Murray's fortunes.
Vickers brings his five years of NFL experience to Houston, a team that values and utilizes its fullback. The Texans are mostly looking for a blocking back, but they also use the fullback as a receiver, something Vickers hasn't done a whole lot of in his five seasons in Cleveland. He'll compete with James Casey, a converted tight end, to be Houston's starter.
Should start the year as the Browns' starting fullback, but will see less playing time with the addition of Peyton Hillis.
Will be the primary lead-blocker for the Browns' backfield.
Vickers will start at fullback, but he doesn't get very many touches so he is not really a viable fantasy option.
Starting FB for the Browns.
Will back up starting fullback Terelle Smith and has little fantasy value right now.
